The Antonov An-225 is a strategic cargo airplane powered by six engines. It is the heaviest and longest airplane ever built in the world. It also has the largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service. As of October 2014, there has only been one aircraft ever built and it still remains in service. A second airframe was partially built; its completion was halted because of lack of funding and interest.
